The annual White House Correspondents' Dinner has always been a laid-back affair in the otherwise formal echelons of Washington DC. At this year's event, comedian Jimmy Kimmel took a moment in his speech to challenge President Obama on the recent crackdown on medical marijuana dispensaries, using humor to speak truth to power.
"What's with the marijuana crackdown? I mean, seriously, what is the concern? We will deplete the nation's Funyuns supply?" Kimmel said. "You know, pot smokers vote, too. Sometimes a week after the election, but they vote."
Kimmel then went on to ask dinner attendees to raise their hand if they'd never smoked marijuana. As expected, few went up.
Watch the clip below for a good laugh on a serious subject to millions of Americans.
