Thieves are using their ears instead of their noses to find MMJ gardens.
In order to supply a medical marijuana garden with fresh air and sufficient air movement growers commonly use high powered fans. These high powered fans are a necessity in most grow rooms and without them the plants would suffer tremendously. The noise created by these fans, however, can be irritating to the grower and a potential security risk. It seems that burglars are getting smarter, and now that most growers are using carbon filters to eliminate odor, thieves are using their ears instead of their noses to find potential victims.
Medical marijuana growers can now add additional security to their grow rooms by reducing the noise created by high powered exhaust fans with the use of a duct muffler or silencer. The Phresh Duct Silencers series are compact noise reducers that are simple to install. As the sound waves (vibration) are emitted from the fan, the acoustic foam material absorbs them thus reducing overall noise by up to 50%.
The Phresh Duct Silencers are compatible with fan, filter and air cooled ventilation systems and can be attached to either the intake or exhaust side of the fan. These filters are extremely light weight but are also strong due to their construction of aluminum and sound reducing acoustic foam material. Phresh Duct Silencers come in 4-, 6-, 8-, 10-, 12- and 14-inch sizes, and all silencers are flanged on both sides for easy installation.
