Start growing with a quality, automated system.
Many medical marijuana growers utilize flood-and-drain (ebb-and-flow) hydroponic systems for their plants. Flood-and-drain systems are simple to use and work extremely well. Growers can use flood-and-drain systems with a variety of mediums, including soil in containers. For many years my vegetative rooms were set up with flood-and-drain systems so I can relate to the desire for an affordable flood-and-drain kit for the consumer.
The Econo-Systems by Sunstream are affordable, strong, quality-built flood-and-drain hydroponic systems complete with tray(s), reservoir, galvanized steel table frame with injection molded corners, fill/drain and overflow fitting kit, tubing, and reliable submersible pump. Sunstream offers two versions of the Econo-System: one tray or two. The two tray unit sits on a single metal frame with the trays side by side.
One of the best medical marijuana gardens I have seen used these trays with 4 x 4 rockwool cubes in a sea-of-green style grow. The grower had 16 trays in his blooming room set in a perpetual harvest of two trays per week. He loved the ability to control each tray’s individual nutrient concentration and pH. It gave him a chance to not only harvest perpetually but also to test multiple varieties of genetics at the same time regardless of their differences in nutritional requirements.
I have seen growers use the Econo-Systems with rockwool, soil, soilless mixes, hydroton, hygromite, perlite/vermiculite, and pea gravel. One of the best aspects of this product is its versatility. Each medical marijuana grower can choose his/her own medium and start growing with a quality, automated system.
